Job description

Research in the group Clinical Neurophysiology (CNPH) is performed at the interface of basic neuroscience and clinical neurology/neurophysiology.

We focus on cerebral ischemia and epilepsy, aiming to improve understanding of pathophysiological processes involved in these conditions and to develop innovative diagnostics and treatments. Our translational approach involves the use of TMS and EEG as clinical techniques, and in-vitro and in-silico models, including cultured neuronal networks on multi-electrode arrays. Current in vitro techniques include electrophysiology, immunocytochemistry, optogenetics, and pharmacology.

To strengthen our in-vitro research, we seek an excellent experimental scientist with independent, complementary ideas. You are expected to acquire funding and develop your own research domain within the current focus of our group. You have the ambition to create a high-profile research line that is internationally recognized.

You are also expected to contribute to the educational bachelor or master programs in Technical Medicine or Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Science and Technology.
