Your research will be part of the Developmental Psychopathology research programme (headed by Prof. Isabela Granic) in the Behavioural Science Institute. The programme encompasses several research lines, including games for mental health (Prof. Granic), substance use, addiction and food (Prof. Vink) and forensic developmental psychopathology (Prof. Cima). We have a young, enthusiastic, multidisciplinary team, including a large group of PhD candidates. Our research group has strong long-lasting collaborations with mental health and youth care agencies in the region, is heading the ZonMw-funded Academic Workplace Youth Nijmegen (www.insideout.nl/) and is associated with the Trimbos Institute and the Nijmegen Institute for Scientist-Practitioners in Addiction (NISPA).
The Behavioural Science Institute is a research institute in the Faculty of Social Sciences at Radboud University. Our research productivity and vision has resulted in being consistently (across 10 years) among the highest-ranked research programs in the social sciences in The Netherlands. Our mission is to conduct top-level research on the fundamental principles and processes that govern human behaviour. In addition to this fundamental aim (to understand behaviour), we aim at societal relevance (to influence behaviour). The training and supervision of PhD students take place in the BSI Graduate School (recognised by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research). BSI has state-of-the-art research facilities for observational studies, experiments, eye-tracking studies, EEG measurements and GSR recording, psychobiological research, and behavioural measurements in both real and 3D virtual environments. The neuroimaging facilities of the Donders Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging (fMRI, MEG, and TMS) are available for research on the neural bases of behaviour.
