What do we request:
• Registration as medical physicist in radiotherapy by the Dutch Society for Medical Physics (also physicists who are finishing their training program, and physicists with a strong track record in radiotherapy physics without having a (Dutch) registration are potential candidates);
• Team spirit, flexibility, practical attitude, ambition, initiative;
• Excellence in patient care and R&D;
• Experience with adaptive therapy, biological imaging, or particle therapy is highly appreciated;
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Dutch (or being prepared to follow an intensive Dutch language course).

The appointment concerns a temporary full-time position (36 hours per week). The salary will depend on relevant experience. The terms of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement for Dutch University Medical Centers (CAO UMC).

The Erasmus MC-Daniel den Hoed Cancer Center encompasses one of the largest radiotherapy departments in Europe, treating 4800 new cancer patients per year. Besides the clinical service, the department has an extensive and renowned R&D program and training programs for residents in radiation oncology and medical physics and technicians (http://www.erasmusmc.nl/radiotherapie/research/radiationoncologyandphysics). The department is actively involved in setting up a new institute for particle therapy. Within the department, the division of Medical Physics has around 55 employees, including 10 medical physicists, 4 residents and around 20 scientists. The division is headed by a Director of Physics (Professor) and a Head of Operations.
