Employment conditions and opportunities for development
FOM offers its employees good primary and secondary employment conditions. Moreover, within these conditions individual agreements are also possible. For example, via the 'Personalised Conditions of Employment' employees can purchase additional leave or exchange days of leave for additional salary.
FOM has developed a training and supervision plan specifically for PhD students. In this, PhD students and (associate) supervisors record in writing what the PhD student shall do. They evaluate this document each year. The plan also contains agreements about items such as the attendance of courses. FOM has a specific package of courses for PhD students. A few examples are: The Art of Presenting Science, the Business Orientation Week and the Career Training. FOM also makes a contribution to the costs of printing the PhD thesis.
