As a post-doctoral fellow you will study the mechanisms and functional consequences of post-translational protein modification by SUMO, a novel member of the ubiquitin-family, as part of a NWO-ECHO project.
You have obtained a PhD degree and have a strong background in molecular biology or protein biochemistry in general and have experience with recombinant DNA-technology, protein purifications, cell culture and RNAi.
Experience in the ubiquitin-field, with SILAC technology, lentiviral technology, protein-protein interaction studies and protein-DNA interaction studies would be an asset. You are enthusiastic, highly motivated, organized and result-driven. You are prepared to work abroad and to work outside office hours and in the weekends when needed.
You will be employed on the basis of a 36-hour week. Appointment is for one year plus 2 year extension after proven suitability. Your salary will depend on your qualifications and experience, with a maximum of € 3,860 gross per month, based on a full time position (scale 10 in to the Collective Labour Agreement for University Hospitals).
