Job description
Reporting directly to the Dean Director, the Director Education is responsible for the educational leadership and development of all Education programs. The Director Education is responsible for new product development, quality assurance, innovation of the curricula. The Director Education is expected to contribute to the revenue generation and the formulation of strategic goals. Financial accountability focuses on ensuring efficient use of the departmental budget. The Director of Education will be a member of the Board of Directors.
Qualified candidates for a full professor position will be appointed as professor at the Maastricht Graduate School of Governance of Maastricht University.
Requirements
- PhD/DBA in the field of business and/or economics;
- Outstanding publications in nationally and internationally recognized journals or books edited by internationally recognized publishers;
- Excellency in teaching;
- Teaching experience preferably in emerging market economies and developing countries;
- Management experience in institutions of higher education;
- Experience in managing global networks;
- Experience with international and multi-disciplinary co-operation;
- Fluency in English, fluency in Dutch is an advantage;
- Proven affinity with and interest in developing countries and emerging market economies;
- Entrepreneurial, creative and innovative.
Candidates should be prepared to take up the responsibilities of Vice-Dean.Candidates should be prepared to live in the vicinity of Maastricht.
