Job Maastricht School of Management (MSM) - Director Research Full - Associate Professor m/f (1.0 FTE)

Reporting directly to the Dean Director, the Director Research is responsible for the development of MSM’s applied research and the DBA/PhD School in cooperation with Maastricht University.

The Director Research is expected to contribute to the establishment and management of three research centers that focus on management and governance research in the fields of sustainable development, institutional & organizational development and leadership & entrepreneurship with a strong focus on emerging market economies and developing countries.

Qualified candidates for a full professor position will be appointed as professor at the Maastricht Graduate School of Governance of Maastricht University.

For this position the following skills and qualifications are required:

• PhD/DBA in the field of business and/or economics;
• Outstanding publications in nationally and internationally recognized journals or books edited by internationally recognized publishers;
• Excellency in teaching;
• Teaching experience preferably in emerging market economies and developing countries;
• Management experience in institutions of higher education;
• Experience in managing global networks;
• Experience with international and multi-disciplinary co-operation;
• Fluency in English, fluency in Dutch is an advantage;
• Proven affinity with and interest in developing countries and emerging market economies;
• Entrepreneurial, creative and innovative.

Candidates should be prepared to take up the responsibilities of Vice-Dean. Candidates should be prepared to live in the vicinity of Maastricht.
