About Maastro Clinic

The Foundation was established in Heerlen in 1977. The Foundation's objective is to provide care to oncology patients in the broadest sense of the word, in particular by means of radiotherapy, for the benefit of the population of Central and South Limburg.
The foundation seeks to achieve this objective by:

  • the effective management, administration and maintenance of a radiotherapeutic institute, which promotes high quality treatment, care and support for patients as well as a good working climate for staff, in the spirit of the social policy statute of the Collective Labour Agreement for the Hospital Sector (CAO voor het Ziekenhuiswezen);
  • conducting and/or collaborating in scientific teaching and research;
  • providing professional education or cooperating in courses in the context of public health and, more specifically, oncology;
  • promoting regional and national health care policies, i.a. by collaborating with other institutions in the field of intramural, semi-mural and extramural health care.
