The PhD students will travel extensively and conduct semi- and unstructured interviews of workers, trade unionists, managers and policy makers. They will be expected develop their own research agenda within the scope of the project. Potential PhD projects (for example) could be on migrant workers and work, trade union strategies, transnational subcontracting and agency work, and the changing nature of sovereignty in the EU.
