As Automotive Projects Manager you lead innovation and product development projects in the Automotive Development Centre. The focus of the projects is the development of mechanical and mechatronical automotive related products and systems, and often involve the incorporation of new technologies. Frequently the projects are executed in close co-operation with external parties like automotive Tier's, OEM's and engineering companies.
As Automotive Projects Manager you are responsible for the three main project drivers: cost, timing and quality according to the automotive standards. In addition, you play an important role in the development and protection of Intellectual Property inside SKF. Managing research and development contracts with suppliers and partners, as well as representing SKF in international development consortia are important parts of your job.
The combination of your experience in project management, leading people and product development is what we are looking for. In addition, you have a strong interest in innovation and engineering. Visiting automotive customers to understand their technical challenges and working together with the advanced engineering teams of our customers is an aspect of your job that you see as challenging and motivating.
We offer you the opportunity to work in an innovative and well-equipped Product Development environment, which is part of a large, successful company with an excellent reputation. You will join a team of well-motivated colleagues and have a lot of international contacts. You will travel and can work abroad on short assignments. We look forward to see you develop as a professional who creates a career in SKF and we will support your steps. Of course, our employment conditions are competitive.
Contract type: Permanent

We are thus pioneer and market leader at the same time. For our organisation, this means there are no set paths, but only new roads to discover and explore together.
The Automotive Division
You probably think of SKF as the world leader in rolling bearings? Then you are right, because we are. Our high quality bearings have made us one of the most respected brands in the industrial world. But this is a limited picture of us. There are many other exciting dimensions to today's SKF. We have step by step evolved into a genuine knowledge engineering company. To strengthen this process, we have identified five different platforms that cover our technical knowledge and capabilities: Bearings and units, Seals, Mechatronics, Lubrication systems and Services.
Within the Automotive Division, one of the three divisions in SKF, the Automotive Development Centre is driving product innovation through long term concept and product development. The main focus areas inside the Automotive Development Centre are advanced engineering, concept development and product development of both mechanical and mechatronics products and systems. The projects are being executed in close cooperation with research organizations in SKF, external engineering companies, universities as well as advanced development teams of automotive Tier's and OEM's.
At present the Automotive Development Centre consists of 29 highly skilled and motivated people, located in St-Cyr in France and Nieuwegein in the Netherlands.
