Department

The Automotive Division

You probably think of SKF as the world leader in rolling bearings? Then you are right, because we are. Our high quality bearings have made us one of the most respected brands in the industrial world. But this is a limited picture of us. There are many other exciting dimensions to today's SKF. We have step by step evolved into a genuine knowledge engineering company. The main focus areas inside the Automotive Development Centre are advanced engineering, concept development and product development of both mechanical and mechatronics products and systems. The projects are being executed in close cooperation with research organizations in SKF, external engineering companies, universities as well as advanced development teams of automotive Tier’s and OEM’s.
