Job description

The appointee will have the following tasks:

• initiate, develop and perform research in the field of new product marketing
• write publications adhering to high standards
• contribute substantially to education
• supervise graduate students

The research of the Marketing and Consumer Research section (MCR) aims at market-oriented new product development and launch. To achieve this goal, fundamental insights into new product marketing management are of major importance. The candidate should have experience in directing and initiating research projects in areas such as new product adoption and diffusion or in strategic marketing management topics like segmentation, positioning and the marketing mix. Teaching is an integral part of the job and will be on relevant subjects in the domain of strategic product design.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who meets the following requirements. The candidate

• has a Master’s degree in economics or business administration
• has a PhD
• has strong research skills
• has a proven record of publication
• has experience in applying for external funding
• shows strong teaching skills
• likes to work in an interdisciplinary and international team environment.
