The PhD will be employed at the Marketing and Supply Chain Management department (School of Business and Economics of Maastricht University). In the department, you will be surrounded and advised by an international group of PhD colleagues and a young and dynamic team of faculty members. As a PhD student you will (i) work on a topic in the marketing or supply chain management field with the aim of publishing in scientific journals, (ii) present your work at (inter)national conferences, and (iii) gain experience with teaching. Below, we provide you with possible topics for the PhD positions, but your own input and suggestions for a PhD topic are welcome.
In order to qualify for a PhD position, the candidate must have successfully completed a two-years Master degree (Msc. or Research Master) in Business, Economics, Commercial Engineering, Econometrics, Psychology or in a related area. Candidates must have a very good ‘competence’ in written and spoken English. Candidates with a strong quantitative background will be favoured. PhD students will get a temporary employment for 3 years, in which we will guide the candidate to fulfill the PhD requirements. Candidates will, next to pursuing a PhD, devote at most 20% of the time to teaching.
