PhD student “Signal transduction pathways in pediatric medulloblastoma”
Functiebeschrijving
In brain tumors, brain cells mutate and show uncontrolled cell division. This neoplastic progression is the net-result of uncontrolled cell signaling through various protein kinase-mediated networks driving cell proliferation.
The aim of this project is to design an integrative map of activated signal transduction pathways in medulloblastoma to identify potential drugable targets. We will use the newest cellular techniques, including high throughput kinome and phosphoproteome profiling. We already used these techniques successfully in our Pediatric Oncology Research laboratory together with other national and international experts. The identified drugable targets will be further analyzed with standard cellular techniques.
Functie-eisen
