Job University of Twente (UT) - Professor or Tenure Track position European Politics

You provide an important contribution to the research and teaching activities of the department, specifically in the field of European studies. Your research covers the study of political processes in the European Union in their social context. You will publish articles in prominent national and international scientific journals. You will make a successful contribution in obtaining funds for research. You will contribute to the various study programs of the School of Management and Governance, mainly to the bachelor and master programs of the “European Studies” track. And you will play a leading role in the Centre for European Studies.

You are a creative and productive researcher and an inspiring lecturer, with a strong international orientation. As a researcher, you have a strong theoretical-empirical focus, which is also prominent in your publications. You are well connected to relevant international networks in the area of European Studies. Besides obtaining, maintaining and extending your national and international research networks, you will actively seek cooperation with colleagues in the School of Management and Governance, and in other Schools of the University of Twente.

Applicants from the level of Assistant Professor up to the level of Full Professor are welcome to apply. 

Starting at the level of Assistant Professor you will be appointed in a Tenure Track position. A Tenure Track contract enables you to direct your own career based on fixed performance agreements, in which context promotion from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor and subsequently to Full Professor is possible. A definitive assessment will take place no later than five years after commencement of the employment, following which employment for an indefinite period may be agreed upon. The salary scale, depending on your experience extends to a maximum of € 61.000,- gross per year (in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities) based on the job profile Assistant Professor level 2.

Starting at the level of Associate Professor you will be appointed in a tenured position. The salary scale, depending on your experience, extends to a maximum of € 75.000,- gross per year (in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities) based on the job profile Associate Professor level 2. 

Starting at the level of Full Professor you will be appointed in a tenured position. The salary scale, depending on your experience, extends to a maximum of € 99.000,- gross per year (in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities), based on the job profile Full Professor level 2.
