The job
The Associate Professor is an expert in the field of clinical psychology and psychopathology in adults. As a member of the Clinical Psychology group, you will teach within the Master Psychology and Mental Health. The activities and duties are:
- To collaborate in further examining various research questions within the research program Attachment, Emotion (Regulation) and Psychopathology (see http://www.tilburguniversity.nl/faculties/fsw/departments/dcc/clinical/research/)- To secure, in collaboration with colleagues as appropriate, external funding through research grants or contracts to support a developing research agenda- Writing articles in high quality scientific journals- Teaching courses (in Dutch or English) offered by the department, on the Bachelor and Master level- Supervising individual student projects at Bachelor -, Master -, and PhD level
The research of the Department of Clinical Psychology at Tilburg University concerns the role of attachment, processes of emotion regulation, and autonomy-connectedness patterns in a variety of mental disorders in adults, such as anxiety-, mood-, eating-, adjustment- and personality disorders.

- PhD in clinical psychology;
- Successful researcher and teacher.
- Internationally acknowledged expert in the field of Clinical Psychology;
- Publications in high quality scientific journals;
- Experience and affinity with teaching in the area of Clinical Psychology - Profound knowledge of English.
- For non-Dutch candidates: readiness to learn Dutch - Being certified as a psychotherapist is an advantage (in Dutch: at the level of GZ- and/or KP-psycholoog; when not Dutch: at an equivalent level)
Employment terms and conditions

The starting salary for the position of an associate professor on a full-time basis ranges between € 4428,- and € 5390,- gross per month. Foreigners can apply for tax-free allowance of their taxable salary.
