The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEWEB) offers four Bachelor of Science programs, eight Master of Science programs and thirteen postgraduate programs in a wide range of economics and business. Since her establishment in 1948, the faculty has evolved into a medium-sized faculty with approximately 4500 bachelor- and master students, 1500 postgraduate students and about 500 academic and non-academic members of staff.
Department of Information Systems and Logistics (IS&L)
The Department of IS&L is responsible for all education on Business Information Systems (BIS) in FEWEB and offers different courses in both the Economics and Business Administration Bachelor’s and Master’s programs.
The candidate holds a PhD in Information Systems or related area. Especially, we seek a candidate who is enthusiastic and committed to excellence in both BIS education and research. This should be visible from the candidate’s high quality past performance, such as good teaching evaluations and an international research profile. Since a significant part of the courses of the Information Systems group is taught in the Business Administration program we favour candidates with business experience.
The educational profile of the candidate should align with the key themes taught in the BIS courses currently given by the Department. These themes include ICT, Information System typologies, Information Systems & organizational structure and culture, Information Systems & organizational decision-making, Information System strategy, Information Systems & innovation, and Inter-organizational Systems. The research background of the candidate should align with the BIS research conducted within the research program of the Department. The candidate should be active in editorial boards of international journals and conferences, have experience in organizing academic workshops and conferences, and be a frequent speaker at international conferences. The candidate should have an established track record of publications in the most important BIS journals.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the post holder will be requested to perform other duties assigned by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration from time to time.
