The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEWEB) offers four Bachelor of Science programs, eight Master of Science programs and thirteen postgraduate programs in a wide range of economics and business. Since her establishment in 1948, the faculty has evolved into a medium-sized faculty with approximately 4500 bachelor- and master students, 1500 postgraduate students and about 500 academic and non-academic members of staff.
Profile
The professor of microeconomics will have a key role in the coordination of the sequence of micro-economics courses in all years of the BSc and the MSc Economics, as well as for related applied economics courses.
In line with the department’s tradition and ongoing strategy to conduct high quality research, the candidate must have a clear track record of top quality research published in excellent international scientific journals. Also, the candidate is expected to supervise PhD students. For this, active participation in the PhD graduate school “Tinbergen Institute” is expected. The research-time allocation scheme used in the Faculty is such that researchers with good publications are entitled to spend a large amount of their time (up to 60%) on research.
