The prospective candidate will develop teaching inputs in MSc and BSc level courses as indicated in the further particulars for the post, and supervise PhD, MSc and BSc theses and student internships.
The successful applicant will further develop research in this field and develop comparative research with case experiences in (one or more) other continents.
Externally funded projects are to be developed focused on expanding IWE’s research and capacity-building networks in South Asia.
We are looking for a researcher/lecturer with:
• In-depth interdisciplinary understanding of the sociotechnical dynamics of conjunctive water management and conflicts, and a PhD degree in this field;
• Committed to emancipatory water practices and policies;
• Active involvement in water research, capacity-building and policy networks in South Asia;
• Strong publications record, including ISI journal articles;
• Experience and proven competence in problem-oriented academic education;
• Knowledge of a major South Asian language is an advantage;

We offer a tenure track position starting at the level of assistant professor initially for 3 years with prospects for permanent appointment after six years based on academic performance (max gross salary
