This research aims to develop a science-based benchmark system allowing farmers to assess and compare their performance in the field of biodiversity. Many farmers are involved in agri-environment schemes. To promote the transparency of their results, biodiversity data of individual farmers need to be collected, systematically analysed, and communicated. The collected data will be used to develop benchmarking instruments for different stakeholders (farmers, food chain, policymakers, NGOs) and to improve the effectiveness of conservation measures on farmland.
We are looking for an enthusiastic science-driven candidate with a Master degree in Nature Conservation, Environmental Sciences or a related scientific discipline, with a proven interest in social sciences. The successful candidate should have knowledge of different aspects of biodiversity, but also of behavioural and communication aspects, preferably in the context of conservation on farmland. Finally, the candidate should have good organisational and excellent communication skills (Dutch, spoken and written English).
We offer a full-time position for maximum 4 years. There will be a probationary period of 18 months. The gross salary is € 2.042,- based on a full time position in the first year and increases to € 2.612,- in the final year.
