Job description
A candidate to study the role of roadsides as ecological connections between natural areas. In large scale restoration experiments the PhD candidate will investigate the effectiveness of roadsides as corridors between heathland and inland dune areas. The focus of the study will be on various arthropod groups, small mammals and vascular plants.
Requirements
A Master degree in Biology or Forest and nature conservation. Field knowledge about plant and animal communities. Entomological knowledge is a strong advantage. Experience with large scale field experiments. Profound knowledge of statistical techniques. Excellent communication skills (spoken and written English) are required.
Conditions of employment
A full-time PhD-position for 4 years. There will be a probationary period of 18 months.The gross salary is € 2.042,- based on a full-time position in the first year and increases to € 2.612,- in the final year.
