Job description

We are looking for 2 Ecologists with affinity to community ecology and modeling.

One candidate will work on the project SoilTrEC sponsored by the EU. The candidate will study soil community development during soil formation processes. The candidate will analyze data from different stages of the soil life cycle from sites all over Europe in an experimental way and by means of food web modeling.

The other candidate will work on a cooperative project with the RIVM. The candidate will study the structure, functioning and stability of the soil food web in relation to land use and ecosystem services the soil provides. The candidate will analyze data from the National Soil Survey, from more than 250 sites, including different soil types and land use, by means of food web modeling.

Requirements

Two Ecologists with an MSc degree and affinity to community ecology and modeling

Conditions of employment

A full time position for 38 hours a week, initially for 1 year with an anticipated extention to 4 years.
