Job description


The Centre for Development Innovation is a new Centre within the Social Science Group of Wageningen UR, directed at capacity development, in which the knowledge and expertise of the WUR is applied in innovation processes. This is mainly aimed at the international market in which international cooperation is a major work field. The Centre operates with a core staff of 50 in close collaboration with researchers across Wageningen UR. This expertise is applied to a diverse portfolio of over 200 projects annually, involving partners and clients in more than 60 countries.The CDI Liaison office facilitates and advices project leaders and the Centre’s management on issues of project acquisition, from identification to the contracting stage. Project implementation assistance is a growing area of work under development.The senior liaison officer will support CDI colleagues in developing funding proposals, and contracts. He/she coordinates activities with colleagues from finance, facility desk, secretariat and last but not least project leaders. The specific tasks include:Advise • project leaders about new leads, their related terms and conditions • the Centre’s management and project leaders on portfolio development, internal workprocedures, funding opportunities and the required communication with relevant parties within and outside Wageningen UR • The CDI management on management information on workload, market position, leads and project portfolio Support• Project leaders in compiling and submiting bids and quotes according to regulations and guidelines • The Deputy Director CDI in monitoring and necessary follow up on the preparation of project proposals, quotes and bids Maintain, and further develop the project management information systemHe or she is able to realise, together with other Liaison office team a continuous improvement of the work processes and cooperation inside and outside the team.Project management assistance tasks on a paid for basis are acquired internally. This is a growing area of work and is envisaged to develop gradually.

Requirements

The incumbent is a team player able to keep the overview and to achieve agreed results and objectives in all circumstances.He or she is an inspiring, autonomous, customer oriented, analytical, creative and accurate colleague. Ability to remain effective when working under pressure of dealines is essential. Education and experience:• Work experience on a higher professional education (HPE) level in a comparable organisational function. • Thorough oral and written communication skills in Dutch, English are required. French and or Spanish would be an added advantage. • Experience in de development of complex project proposals• Experience with various (public and private) funding agencies • A real teamplayer with a ‘hands-on’mentality

Conditions of employment

A temporary employment up to 36 hrs. Per week for a one year period with possibility of extension. Scale 10 CAO Stichting DLO depending on education and experience. Minimum salary: € 2388,-- gross, maximum salary: € 3893,-- gross.
