Job description
for someone who:
- can acquire research projects and is capable of expanding his/her own group and/or his/her own work sphere from a market-oriented institute; - can initiate new research subjects and methods; - can manage complex, collaborative research projects; - can contribute to the development and revamping of the department of aquaculture and/or to the application of new knowledge at clients; - publishes in journals of a high scientific calibre; - can be the project leader of large projects, including international ones; - actively contributes to the department’s growth.
Requirements
someone who
- can demonstrably carry out the abovementioned duties; - has an academic education, preferably in aquaculture or a comparable research area; - has knowledge about breeding fish in recirculation systems; - preferably has a PhD; - has experience with directing/managing several researchers within projects/programmes; - is well informed about the most recent international developments in aquaculture; - has an active network within aquaculture research in Europe; - has experience in research project acquisition.
