Within our Center for Accounting, Auditing & Control (AAC) we have a vacancy for an: Assistant, Associate or Full Professor of Management Accounting & Control (1 fte)

The challenge
The position is for a non-tenure track candidate. The implication is that the teaching load will be somewhat higher than is typically the case for tenure track candidates, but we do offer substantial research time. The successful candidate will become part of an internationally oriented team with a strong dedication to both research and teaching excellence.

Teaching
Depending on teaching experience, initial teaching responsibilities will be in the MSc in Controlling and Executive Master of Finance & Control programs, but the successful candidate is expected to develop a broad teaching portfolio that includes other audiences as well.

Research
We are interested in candidates with a clear research ambition and a solid background in relevant research methods. Junior candidates must have a promising research direction aimed at international publications, and a high-quality and original research portfolio that is relevant to both academe and managerial practice. More senior candidates should have a strong international publication list, matching the level for which they apply. Candidates must be able to translate academic insights to managerial practice.

• Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline from a reputable research university. Candidates expecting to complete their Ph.D. in the near future are also invited to apply.

• Evidence of talent for teaching.

• Ability to teach in Dutch and English.

• Necessary credentials to teach at Dutch universities (a candidate has to be “BKO registered” or

  should be willing to obtain the BKO-registration within two years).

• Skills and willingness to work in a team.

Fixed-term contract: 4 years.
