Between March 23rd and March 25th 2020, a Dutch delegation of professors will visit Bogota (COL), to attend the PhD workshop, which is probably taking place on March 24th. The goal of this workshop is to recruit Colombian research master students to do a PhD program in the Netherlands. The workshop is organised by the Dutch Embassy, the Colombian ministry of Education (Colsciensas) and AcademicTransfer.

We are looking for a local personal assistant, who can arrange logistics, do some research, arrange contacts, set up schedules and act as an AcademicTransfer team guide in Bogota. 

We are looking for someone with a hands-on mentality. Responsabilities may vary from checking the venue and arranging restaurants to offering more strategic advice on how to contact local (government,university) parties and how to introduce AcademicTransfer's proposition for PhD and research exchange on the Colombian market. 

We prefer someone who :

• is related to a Colombian university, as a Phd or Postdoc or alumnus of a Colombian university;
• visited, studied or worked in the Netherlands for some time;
• speaks Spanish and English fluently;
• is actually living in Colombia and has roots in Bogota; is familiar with the city and the region;
• is flexible, well organised and has good communication skills;
• is available during the period March 23 - March 26, 2020 (full day, 8 hours per day);
• is available for about 4 hours per week from January 15 till March 23, 2020 for preparations. 

Fixed-term contract: Temporary. Jan-March 2020, a few hours per week and up to 32 hours during our visit in March.

We offer a fixed budget of € 800 (ca 3.000.000 COP) in total for the project to cover expenses.
