You will be supporting the Business Development team, which is responsible for the activity of pursuing strategic opportunities and identifying new markets. Your focus will be on the following steps in the Business Development processes:

1. Assist in setup and maintenance of

• Master Service Agreements;
• Project proposals and change orders;
• Standardized templates for contracts, proposals and pricing;
• Pricing schedules (general and customer-specific);
• Project-specific budget calculations (link to DDL Finance);
• Relevant contacts with Project Management Office (PMO), Data Management (DM) and Bio informatics (Bio-IT) teams at DDL;
• Contract management (term, renewals, contract database).

2. Project monitoring:

• Delivery check (PMO/DM/BIO-IT/DEV);
• Manage out-of-scope requests, Change Order management.

3. Project closing:

• Initiate project evaluations (link to DDL PMO, DEV and DDL finance);
• Initiate and manage contracts for sample management after project closure.

4. Customer relation management:

• Relevant contact with contract managers from (key) customers;
• Maintaining customer details in CRM database.

• You have adequate knowledge of technical contents of projects in de Development and Diagnostics, Services teams, contract language, finance and the ‘Pharma world’;
• You are well-organized and have a systematic approach;
• You are a team player and are able to efficiently communicate with all parties involved (in/external);
• You play a pro-active role in the follow-up of contracts to customers;
• You take initiative, set high standards for quality and aim for continuous improvement of the Business Development processes;
• A completed Bachelor (HLO) with a minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant work experience;
• Commercial drive to support closure of new contracts;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch;
• Preferably working 32-40 hours a week.

At DDL, we perform advanced (molecular) diagnostic testing on behalf of pharmaceutical companies and clinical laboratories, within the complex framework of preclinical studies and clinical trials. DDL also designs, develops, and validates novel diagnostic assays, which can be tailor-made for specific diagnostic purposes.
