We are seeking a new talented and energetic Full Professor who contributes to building and extending our excellence in the research and teaching of Econometrics and Data Science, particularly in its intersection with Econometric Theory and Methodology. The new professor primarily focuses on developing research, teaching, and valorisation initiatives in these directions. Given the current research interests of our young faculty, the new professor will take a leading role in the research and teaching agenda in Econometrics and Data Science. Our teaching programs have high standards and are well acclaimed and recognised (inside and outside the Netherlands). The new professor will seek new initiatives to keep our teaching programs at the current level of excellence in course content and program design. Our overall aim is to stay at the forefront of Econometrics teaching, especially in view of the fast-growing interest in Data Science. The new professor will have leadership qualities to be able to take roles in the management of the department, the teaching programs, and valorisation activities. Your duties  • carrying out innovative research and publish this research at international top journals in     your field
• creating a stimulating and motivating learning environment for students in econometrics   and data science by teaching courses and supervising students in these areas
• being active in acquiring additional research funds, both individually and as a team effort     with your colleagues

• a PhD degree in Econometrics, or a related field
• strong research potential, teaching experience with excellent evaluations, track-record in   valorization
• experience of supervising MSc and PhD students
• excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• fluency in English

A challenging position in a socially involved organization. On full-time basis the remuneration amounts to a minimum gross monthly salary of €5,582 (H2) and a maximum €8,127 (H2), depending on your education and experience. The job profile Professor 2 is based on the university job ranking system and is vacant for at least 1 FTE.
