Job description

SCilS training will give Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) unparalleled training opportunities in outstanding academic and industrial settings through training-by-research via individual research projects, secondments, and network-wide training sessions. All individual training and research activities have been designed to provide each ESR with the necessary broad competences in state‐of‐the art academic and industrial research. The network will thereby make a career in both industry and academia attractive to the ESRs and improve their career prospects in both private and public sectors.

The anticipated start date of employment is between 1 March 2020 and 1 October 2020, and is to be agreed with your supervisor. You will receive an attractive salary including mobility allowance and family allowance (if applicable) as laid down in the Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions Work Programme 2018-2020.

Requirements

  • Applicants should be in the first 4 years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research careers and have not been awarded a doctoral degree. This is measured from the date when a degree that formally entitles you to embark on a doctorate was obtained until the start date of employment.
  • Applicants are willing to move to the country of the host institution of interest.
  • Applicants should not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the host institution of interest for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the start date of employment. Short stays, such as holidays, are not taken into account.
  • You are proficient in written and spoken English.
  • You have the requested skills and experience for the PhD project(s) of interest.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 3 year.

Upon commencement of employment we require a certificate of conduct (Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag, VOG) and there will be, depending on the type of job, a screening based on the provided cv. Radboud university medical center's HR Department will apply for this certificate on your behalf.
