We are looking for a Senior project staff member.
What you’ll be doing
You will be part of the team of research data experts. As such you will be deployed in various DANS projects and activities. A considerable part of your activities will take place in the context of the many European projects in which DANS participates. In terms of content, DANS project activities are mostly focused on FAIR and open data, long-term archiving of reusable data, and repository certification. The position is a varied one. You will have a great deal of international contacts and be involved in training courses. Future development into project management is a possibility.
What we expect
You have completed your academic education and possess substantive knowledge in the relevant field. You are motivated, focused on results and collaboration, and knowledge transfer is second nature to you. You can switch quickly and interact well with others. You are also a good writer and have a thorough command of the English language; proficiency in Dutch is an asset. You are knowledgeable about and demonstrably experienced in the following:
Your salary
Your gross monthly salary will amount to max. € 5,127 (Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch universities/KNAW, scale 11) on a full-time basis, excluding 8% holiday pay and 8.3% year-end bonus. The temporary appointment will be for one year, with the option of extension.
Data Archiving and Networked Services (DANS-KNAW) is a joint institute of the Academy and funding organisation NWO. It encourages researchers to make their digital research data findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable. It provides expert advice and certified services. By participating in Dutch and international projects, networks and research, DANS contributes to the ongoing innovation of the global scientific data infrastructure.
DANS is the Dutch national centre of expertise and repository for research data. We help researchers make their data available for reuse. This allows other researchers to use the data for new research and makes published research verifiable and reproducible.
