Job description

What you’ll be doing 
You will be part of the team of research data experts. As such you will be deployed in various DANS projects and activities. A considerable part of your activities will take place in the context of the many European projects in which DANS participates. In terms of content, DANS project activities are mostly focused on FAIR and open data, long-term archiving of reusable data, and repository certification. The position is a varied one. You will have a great deal of international contacts and be involved in training courses.

Requirements

What we expect
You have completed your academic education and possess substantive knowledge in the relevant field. You are motivated, focused on results and collaboration, and knowledge transfer is second nature to you. You can switch quickly and interact well with others. You are also a good writer and have a thorough command of the English language; proficiency in Dutch is an asset. You are knowledgeable about and demonstrably experienced in the following:

  • Project-based work in an international environment, in multi-partner projects; relevant project leadership experience is an advantage.
  • Production, processing and/or use of research data.
  • Experience in repository certification is an advantage.
     

Conditions of employment

Your gross monthly salary will amount to max. € 5,211,-- (Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch universities/KNAW, scale 11) on a full-time basis, excluding 8% holiday pay and 8.3% year-end bonus. The temporary appointment will be for one year with the option of extension for three years if the function is performed fully and properly. Depending on the conditions of the organisation an extension for an indefinite period of time is also possible.
