The Corporate Communication Centre affiliated with Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) offers the Part-time Executive Master of Science in Corporate Communication programme for professionals (MCC) and executive courses in corporate communication. We are looking for a Programme coordinator for 32 hours a week.

Job description

Reporting to the Programme Director, this is an exciting opportunity to join a professional, busy and friendly team.

The Programme coordinator takes the lead in the administrative and operational coordination of the MCC programme including masterclasses, webinars and customised in-company courses. The courses will take place either on-campus, online, or offsite. Most courses are between one and four days long.

The Programme coordinator serves as the key interface between the students, the programme and our faculty; Coordinating a variety of tasks and program components, managing communication flows, managing programme logistics and operations and supporting faculty members to ensure a world-class experience for our students.

You should have excellent communication skills and be customer service oriented. You feel comfortable working in a busy environment that will require multi-tasking and the ability to manage a high volume of work. 

You should have excellent MS Office and organisational skills. Previous experience of working in higher education is desirable.

Among other things your tasks will be to:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for faculty, students, team members, and other internal and external partners and stakeholders regarding the programme, other questions, issues, and/or concerns; and address and resolve them as needed. 
  • Take the lead to provide independently direct administrative coordination for on-campus, online, or offsite courses. Duties include preparation of class materials, instructor support, class set up and post-class evaluation, and student data management.
  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the team to ensure that the executive courses are delivered with excellence.
  • Work closely with Marketing & Sales to promote enrolment for the courses, webinars and other special events.

  • Attention to detail and proficiency with word-processing and database systems;

  • Is solution-oriented, assertive, and persistent in finding answers and fixing problems;
  • Is analytical and can fulfil any task that requires accuracy;
  • Has a hands-on mentality, likes to learn by doing, and is happy to do practical work to get to know the tools and processes;
  • Is quick at learning to use new tools and programmes;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C1) and easily adjusts their communication style to different situations;
  • A great colleague who gets things done;
  • Has at least an HBO or academic bachelor’s degree;
  • Knowledge of Zoom and/or OSIRIS is an advantage.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 6 months with a possibility of extension, to be determined by the employer.

An exciting and challenging position within a small team, depending on your experience, a competitive salary from a minimum of € 2.376,- to a maximum of € 3.619,- for a full working week of 38 hours in accordance with the CAO VSNU.

We offer a temporary contract of 0.8- fte for 6 months, with a possibility of extension.
