PROFESSORSHIP FOR BUSINESS INFORMATICS, WITH THE SPECIALIZATION IT ENTERPRISE ARCHITECTURE

The incumbent is expected to cover the subject area of business informatics, focusing on IT enterprise architecture, in the faculty's degree programmes. The successful candidate is also expected to contribute to the further development of the aforementioned degree programmes and to get involved in the development of new degree programmes at the intersection of management and technology at the faculty.

Real-world experience is to be incorporated into teaching in an effort to foster an interest in business informatics among students. We work in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary teams and use our rich laboratory environment to ensure application-oriented teaching and research. Digitally enhanced teaching enriches our classroom teaching. We look forward to recruiting an individual with above-average qualifications who will make an interdisciplinary contribution to our teaching and research. You will support us in our self-administration and the ongoing development of the university, and in enhancing our international profile, e.g. by conducting classes in the English language or by cooperating with foreign universities.

To apply for the position, candidates must have a university degree in business informatics, computer science or a comparable subject; they should also have a particular aptitude for in-depth academic work, usually demonstrated by an above-average doctorate.

Moreover, the future incumbent is expected to have professional experience in the design, development, implementation and use of business information and communication systems, at least three years of which will have been gained outside of a university context. Experience in the application of IT enterprise architecture (enterprise architecture management) and IT service management would be desirable. Ideally, the incumbent will also have experience in the development of e-learning elements as well as the ability to conduct classes in English.

In all other respects, Section 25 of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (NHG) applies to the conditions governing the appointment.
