The Faculty of Law of Maastricht University is looking for a lecturer/teaching assistant in European law and Constitutional Law, the candidate will be involved in teaching comparative government (autumn 2018 and autumn 2019); and will assist the coordinator of this course in all administrative duties. Depending on expertise and previous experiences the teaching assistant will also be (involved in) teaching in a selection of courses such as the bachelor course on Privacy, the master course European and National Constitutional Law, Introduction to Law, or Comparative Constitutional Law at UCM.
Candidates who also master Dutch and Dutch law could also be asked to teach ‘Inleiding Staats- en Bestuursrecht’ as part of the teaching portfolio.
Furthermore, the teaching assistant may be required to lend a hand in research projects undertaken by Prof. Aalt Willem Heringa and Dr. Sascha Hardt.
We would appreciate a candidate to have teaching experience in general or as a student assistant in for instance the European Law School.
Fixed-term contract: from November 1, 2018 to April 1, 2020.
The appointment as lecturer will start on November 1, 2018 and end on April 1, 2020. The salary is dependent on academic qualifications and experience. The salary will be set in scale 10 of the CAO Nederlandse Universiteiten (minimum € 2.588,00 and maximum € 4.084,00).
