Job description

We are looking for Research Technicians in Cellular Protein Chemistry.

Postdoc Researchers, PhD students and Technicians in our laboratory work independently but in teams on projects in the field of Molecular Cell Biology and Biochemistry. The projects involve scientific research collaborations with Biotech industry on the inherited disease Cystic Fibrosis. Focus is the folding, transport and function of the (mutant) CFTR protein in mammalian cells.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:
  • a BSc/Msc/PhD degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Cell Biology or a related field;
  • a strong scientific drive and affinity for our research;
  • the ability to work independently and in a team;
  • a good command of the English language.

Conditions of employment

We offer a temporary position (1.0 FTE) for two years. The gross salary - depending on previous qualifications and experience  - ranges between €2,161 and €3,292 (scale 7/8 according to the Collective Labour Agreement Dutch Universities) gross per month for a full-time employment. Salaries are supplemented with a holiday bonus of 8 % and a year-end bonus of 8.3 % per year. We offer a pension scheme, (partly paid) parental leave, collective insurance schemes and flexible employment conditions (multiple choice model).
