Job description

The Biosciences Practical Education & Educational Support team is searching for an education officer. As an education officer, you will work in close collaboration with teachers, other scientific staff and student assistants to prepare, implement and supervise student laboratory work associated with courses of the Biology Bachelor’s programme at Radboud University.
 
Also, you will be involved in renewing and improving course content based on newly acquired knowledge and best practices.

Requirements

  • MSc Biology (or similar), preferably with a specialisation in the field of education;
  • English proficiency level C1/C2;
  • team player, independent, assertive, flexible and helpful.

Conditions of employment

  • employment: 0.8 FTE
  • a maximum gross monthly salary of € 3,722 based on a 38-hour working week (salary scale 9)
  • in addition to the salary: an 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% end-of-year bonus
  • duration of the contract: 1 year
  • university job profile: Education / Research officer, level 2
  • you will be able to make use of our Dual Career Service where our Dual Career Officer will assist with family related support, such as child care, and help your partner prepare for the local labour market and with finding an occupation

The Biosciences Practical Education & Educational Support team is part of the Biosciences Education Institute of the Faculty of Science. The team supports teaching staff by taking an active role in developing, renewing and organising education within the Biology Bachelor’s programme. The team coordinates the development of practical skills throughout the Bachelor’s programme (e.g. report writing and laboratory skills) and plays a supporting role in the implementation of the new Bachelor’s degree curriculum.
 
Because of the team’s cooperation with course and programme coordinators throughout the entire Bachelor’s degree structure, it has a pro-active role in identifying opportunities to improve the Biology and Medical Biology programmes.
