The candidate will take on the task of correcting first and second-year papers and essays, and provide students with feedback on their English language proficiency. (S)he will teach the English course in the World Language Programme, and be of assistance to both students and staff on the use of spoken and written English in an academic context.

We are looking for a new colleague with an MA degree or equivalent in English, and with demonstrable experience in teaching English as a second language in an educational, preferably academic context. Candidates should have a strong commitment to the values of diversity and inclusiveness as an intrinsic element of professional relationships in academia.

Fixed-term contract: 12 months.

The University of Groningen offers depending on academic record and experience, a salary of € 2,588 (salary scale 10 Dutch Universities) to € 4,757 gross per month (scale 11), based on 38 hours per week. UFO profile: Lecturer 4/3. The Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities is applicable. The candidate will be responsible for the English Proficiency training of UCG students.
