Currently we are expanding our capacity and look for candidates at levels ranging from junior to more senior, for both combined research and education positions (assistant / associate professor), and education positions (lecturer).

THE CHALLENGE 

  • You will contribute to establishing an excellent CS department with societal impact;
  • You operate in the broad field of CS, specializing in areas such as autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, software technology and architecture, web technology, and cybersecurity.
  • You operate in a related (inter)disciplinary topic of research. We are also interested to expand into new areas and ask you to bring in your expertise. We are open to see how your expertise fits in our profile;
  • You possess a convincing research and/or education track record;
  • You are passionate about teaching, and can enhance and complement our strengths;
  • You have, or are willing to acquire, a University Teaching Qualification (UTQ) or equivalent.

Requirements

  • You have a PhD-degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;
  • You have a track record in research and/or teaching in computer science, shown by an excellent publication record in a relevant area, and/or excellent teaching track record (at BSc, MSc or PhD level);
  • For positions including research: you are able to articulate a consistent research agenda to attract funding to support such research;
  • You have a strong interest and shown ability to collaborate in an academic, multidisciplinary environment with engineering and social scientists, and to build and maintain a network for international experience.

Conditions of employment

  • You will be appointed for 2 years, with the prospect of a permanent position after a positive evaluation, within an inspiring, multidisciplinary and international environment;

  • Your starting salary will be between € 2.640 to € 6.567 gross per month, depending on your experience and qualifications (in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities);
