Are you up to the challenge of co-ordinating and administrating a specialised master study programme located in a global centre for its industry? Have you got the right skills to help us run the MSc Supply Chain Management programme at one of Europe’s best business schools – in the same city as the second biggest port in the world? Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) is looking to recruit a programme co-ordinator for the MSc Supply Chain Management programme (0.6 FTE)

As programme co-ordinator, you are the first point of contact for students on our one-year Supply Chain Management (SCM) master programme. Your role is to work closely with students and professors to ensure the programme runs smoothly, and that its activities enhance the experience of study for approximately 120 students every year. Their studies involve the newest ideas in SCM and give them a real insight into one of today’s most dynamic business arena, so they can become a force for positive change. You will also support the academics in RSM’s department of technology and operations management who lecture to students on this programme. You will be part of the conversation that makes the programme experience better for students.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • being first point of contact for students; supporting lectures and workshops in SCM subjects such as operations management and management science at master and bachelor level

  • managing the online study platform CANVAS, grading exams and assignments, developing and improving teaching materials, and developing new teaching cases, new learning experiences and activities, and video lectures for online and blended learning

  • assisting with the master thesis process, internships, and honours programme.

  • co-ordinating other MSc Supply Chain Management activities such as company trips, the introduction week, and an annual internship fair.

Requirements

The ideal candidate

  • has a master degree in business administration, economics or engineering with knowledge of supply chain management, logistics and operations management

  • has an affinity with teaching and the delivery of university-level education

  • has knowledge of logistics and supply chain management

  • has good planning and organisation skills

  • has excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus but not essential)

  • is independent, proactive and willing to learn.

Conditions of employment

The terms of employment are in accordance with the CAO NU (collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities). We are offering a contract for 0.6 FTE, initially for a year, with the prospect of an extension based on good performance. The salary range for this position is in scale 10. The salary will be based in part on education and working experience, and could therefore vary from 2,640 to 4,166 euros gross per month, based on a full-time employment contract. A temporary preliminary salary scale may be instituted.
