(Associate) Professor in Cardiovascular Biomechanics V.50
Department of Biomedical Engineering
University of Technology Eindhoven, The Netherlands

Job description

The Cardiovascular Biomechanics group performs research in the field of computational and experimental biomechanical analysis of the cardiovascular system. General aim is to develop computational models, experimental techniques, and medical devices, all of them to be applied in clinical diagnosis, decision support, and intervention. Inherent to the groups approach is the experimental verification using data obtained from in-vitro and ex-vivo setups, and data from patient studies, obtained in collaboration with different academic and clinical partners. The research in the group is carried out along three mutually linked approaches; patient-specific computational modelling; ultrasonic and photoacoustic image acquisition and analysis; experimental verification, characterization, and testing.
