Job description

The field of Imaging Genetics involves linking observations on the human genome to observations in imaging data. Especially novel genome-wide sequencing approaches combined with large-scale population imaging studies open up unprecedented possibilities for discovering the cause of a disease, and relating it to its anatomical and functional consequences. A major challenge is how to exploit the synergism of imaging, genetic and other relevant biomedical data. In this project the clinical focus will be on the development, evaluation and implementation of diffusion MRI data in the context of large population studies to support imaging genetics studies. The Post doctoral researcher will work in a multidisciplinary team. The PhD positions are part of projects under the STW Perspective Programme "Population Imaging Genetics" which funds additional PhD students and postdoctoral researchers in Epidemiology, Genetics, and Bio Informatics.
