Job description

This PhD project is part of the NWO-TTO funded Simon Stevin Master award. The overarching aim of the project is to improve disease prognosis by integrated analysis of imaging and genetic data. We will address this challenge by developing methods for supporting the analysis of the relation between genetic data, imaging data, and disease outcome. Whereas the project focus will be on the development of novel analysis techniques, this development will take place in the context of different, societally relevant biomedical applications, primarily in the field of dementia and oncology. The use of state of the art machine learning and deep learning methods will be a main part of the project. In this project, the PhD student will work together with other image analysis researchers as well as with clinical researchers.
