Project Manager in the Erasmus+ project “International Security Management - Creating sustainable and concrete resources and structures to foster international security collaborations”, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University
Job description
We are searching for an experienced project manager to support us in the delivery of our EU-funded project “International Security Management”. The project combines nine partners in seven countries including higher education institutes, private industry, law enforcement, municipalities and NGOs.
We require an experienced project manager, who is able to coordinate interdisciplinary and international partners for the delivery of teaching related products (primarily executive master in International Security Management). The position is located within CESAM (Center of Excellence in Public Safety Management) and will support an existing team. The envisioned is for 2 years, which is the remaining duration of the project, and part-time for 0.6 fte.
Main tasks for the position are:
Coordination of project activities and liaising with partners to ensure continued alignment of activities with the work program
Preparation of consortium meetings and advisory board meetings (locations move across member countries depending on hosting partners)
Ensure proper documentation of actions and collection of progress reports from partners
Support of financial documentations for EU projects
Contact point for partners on project management related questions
Qualifications and competencies
We expect the following qualifications:
Experience with complex project management in multinational contexts, preferably experience with management of EU-projects
Sound knowledge of EU and national project processes and protocols specifically related to the project governance
Experience of project related report writing including EU project QMR
Experience of organising project logistical arrangements and events
Good planning and organisational skills and the ability to manage conflicting demands and meet deadlines
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively, both on projects and as part of a team
Ability to effectively manage relations with a variety of stakeholders both internal and external to the University
Fluent English written and spoken (C1)
Expertise in security or education a bonus, but not required
Fixed-term contract: Temporary, 2 years which is the remaining length of the project.
Our offer
The position is offered for a duration 2 years, which is the remaining length of the project, and part-time for 0.6 fte. Some traveling is required (Europe only).
Salary is subject to qualifications and experience and may vary from a minimum of € 3,475.00 (scale 11 CAO NU) gross per month and up to a maximum of € 6,438.00 gross per month (scale 14 CAO NU), based on a fulltime contract of 38 hours.
