Job description

Within the Industrial Partnership Programme ee have an opening for a postdoc in the NMR group at Wageningen University to develop NMR/MRI methods to study food biopolymer networks. Emphasis will be on methods that assess network formation under dynamic conditions such as stress or shear. Advanced RheoMRI methods will be deployed to study shear-banding phenomena under conditions relevant for industrial food processing. Complementary structural descriptors of biopolymer network will be derived from PFG NMR (nanoparticle) diffusometry. The work will be carried out using 300, 600 and 700 MHz NMR spectrometers, equipped with high-performance PFG, (rheo)MRI and HRMAS capabilities. The postdoc will collaborate with PhD students employed within the Industrial Partnership Programme and engage closely with industry.
