Hogeschool Inholland

About Inholland

Inholland University of Applied Sciences is an educational institution with over 29,000 students, 26 research groups, more than 110 nationalities, and approximately 1800 employees.

As a university of applied sciences, we see it as our social mission to provide our students with quality. Those who study at Inholland University of Applied Sciences can be assured of top-quality professional education, both in content and norms and values. Our university is warm and friendly and is known for its personal touch and commitment to students.

Broad, clearly-defined courses of study

On nine campuses in the Randstad, we offer around 80 bachelor programmes in all fields of study: from healthcare to economics, from technology to education. In addition, Inholland is home to seven master programmes. All our courses are geared towards the needs of the professional field, resulting in top-quality degrees with contemporary and in-demand graduation tracks.

Solid education and excellent coaching

Our courses are both extensive and challenging but with proper guidance and excellent coaching, we are soon able to make our students feel at home. We offer our students the opportunity to develop themselves as individuals and prepare themselves to become responsible professionals with a respectful view of society.

Practical research

Our courses of study also include a solid research programme. Together with our research professors, we pay crucial attention to practical research in particular. Not only does this help us to strengthen the quality of our education but it also enables us to make valuable and important connections with the work field. Practical research helps us to be able to work on difficult issues with which society is struggling and to do this in a socially responsible manner.

University with excellent norms and values

In order to add value to society, we have consciously opted for one core theme and three main themes in our education courses, our research methodology and our social responsibility and service. Inholland distinguishes itself as a university with excellent norms and values. It offers far more than just the profession for which you are studying. Individual development and personal leadership are integral parts of our curriculum. Our three main themes are: Creative Economics, Heathy Society and Sustainable Technology.

Collaboration is the new competition

Naturally, all this is in close collaboration with secondary schools, vocational colleges and universities, the region and the work field. As far as we are concerned, collaboration is the new competition. We do not turn our backs on each other but instead we listen carefully to one other and see how we can all work together to ensure that students are given the best preparation possible for their professional careers.

Practice versus theory

Focus on practice is an important aspect of the Inholland University of Applied Sciences' study programmes. It helps students to be optimally prepared for the labour market. During their studies and work placements students gain experience in trade and industry, which in turn can benefit from the students' knowledge.

This is why Inholland maintains an extensive network of valuable contacts in trade and industry and collaborates with secondary schools and universities in the Netherlands and abroad.

Enterprising students

To turn knowledge into economic growth and jobs is one of our greatest challenges. That's why Inholland University of Applied Sciences wants to cultivate entrepreneurship in its students. Inholland aims to have a close relationship with students, the market and society. Accordingly, entrepreneurship is not an optional subject but an integral part of our study programmes.
