Job description

  • You will contribute to the research and teaching program of the department of Clinical Psychology;

  • Your research should be relevant to the domains of etiology, diagnostics, mechanisms and/or treatment of mood and anxiety disorders or other stress-related disorders. You will be expected to apply for research grants from Dutch and European funding agencies;

  • The teaching is diverse and may be adapted to your expertise and interest; you may lecture for large audiences but also supervise theses and provide skills training for small groups of students. Skills training may include research and/or diagnostic and treatment skills;

  • We have two vacancies; we anticipate that at least one of the vacancies will be filled by someone with clinical (diagnostic and/or treatment) expertise who is interested in and capable of combining research, teaching and patient care in our new academic clinical outpatient facility (see below);

  • We are also particularly interested in candidates with expertise in network analysis and ecological assessment methods (experience sampling; ecological momentary assessment);

  • The ratio of research / teaching time is 40% / 60%.  Clinical tasks (patient care) and administrative tasks will lead to reduction of teaching load. Successful grant applications may also lead to teaching load reductions.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. on a topic relevant to clinical psychology;

  • Ability to conduct innovative and independent research in the area of clinical psychology;

  • Clinical training and experience (clinical registrations an asset);

  • Publications in international peer-reviewed journals;

  • Experience with teaching at bachelor and/or master and/or post-master level;

  • Strong interpersonal skills;

  • High level of proficiency in English.

Conditions of employment

We offer full-time, five year term positions. Salary range from € 3,400.- to € 5,288.- gross per month (scale 11 or 12), in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities.
