You carry out teaching in the field of History of Modern Continental Philosophy. You teach a minor course and an honours course for undergraduate students not majoring in philosophy during the second quarter of the academic year. The course ranges roughly from Kant to Deleuze, but cover a selection determined by you. Additionally, you teach a BA or MA course for philosophy students. Knowledge of Dutch is no requirement.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 24 months.

The University of Groningen offers a salary depending on education and experience, between € 2,588 and € 4,084 gross per month for a full-time appointment (salary scale 10 Dutch Universities). The salary is supplemented by a holiday allowance of 8% per year and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%. The position is part-time, and appointment lasts initially for one academic year, with the possibility of being renewed for another year conditional on positive evaluation.

The starting date is 1 September 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter; the minor and honours courses need to be taught in the second quarter.
