Job description

As a teaching assistant you will perform educational tasks (tutorial groups/lectures, co-ordination and grading of exams) in the Bachelor’s programmes offered by the Department of Business Administration (e.g. Introduction to Business Administration, Methods of Research and Intervention, Statistics, and Project Learning Organisation).

- Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent, with sufficiently high grades.
- Ideally you are able to teach in Dutch and English.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 6/12 months, with the possibility of renewal.

salary will depend on qualifications and experience, and will be between €2,588 and €4,084 (scale 10) gross per month, based on full-time employment

Nijmegen School of Management

The Nijmegen School of Management (NSM) is an academic centre of research and higher learning, focusing on institutional and managerial issues within complex organizations in both the public and private domain. There are seven focus areas within NSM: Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, Social and Political Sciences of the Environment, Human Geography, and Spatial Planning. The NSM strives for a multidisciplinary approach whenever possible. Altogether, the faculty employs 235 full-time staff, of whom 75% are academics. The faculty has about 3,000 students.

The Department of Business Administration conducts internationally recognised, high-quality research and education in Business Administration and aims at multiple value creation. Special attention is devoted to organisational and social processes that are key to improving both the performance of the organisation and the wellbeing of the employees.

The NSM’s research activities are governed by the Institute for Management Research (IMR), which has the equivalent of 80 full-time staff. It focuses on fundamental and applied research into the development, design and effectiveness of the public and private structures that regulate, govern or manage human interaction. The IMR strives for a multidisciplinary approach to research. This is reflected in its organisation into interdisciplinary research groups.
