Job description

The Nijmegen School of Management offers several English-taught tracks at Bachelor’s and Master’s level. There are two English-taught Bachelor’s variants: Economics and Business Economics (EBE) and International Business Administration (IBA) and 7 English-taught Master’s programmes. As Recruitment and Admission Officer, you will provide support for the recruitment and registration procedure in the Bachelor’s EBE and IBA variants and you will be mandated to make admission decisions. In consultation with the Recruitment and Admission Officer for the Master’s programmes, you will draft and implement the recruitment plan and the application, admission and enrolment plan.
Application, admission and enrolment tasks include the following:
- answering specific questions from potential students;
- assessing application files;
- administering the application, admission and enrolment process;
- providing support for the design and optimisation of the application, admission and enrolment process;
- liaising with the programme coordinator, student advisor and central units such as the Student Affairs Office and the International Office.

Specific recruitment tasks are:
- designing and implementing recruitment plans to attract international students in collaboration with the departments;
- organising and visiting education fairs and secondary schools abroad;
- using online marketing/communication tools (portals, social media, websites, webinars);
- updating information and improving the promotional material;
- liaising with bilingual secondary schools in the Netherlands and abroad.

Requirements

- a completed (international) marketing qualification at university of applied sciences (HBO)/ research university (WO) level;
- proven work experience in the field of international marketing and marketing communication in higher education;
- excellent social and communication skills;
- organisational skills and the ability to improvise;
- near-native proficiency in English and Dutch;
- excellent mastery of computer programs in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and professional experience with social media;
- flexible, able to cope with stress, to work under high pressure and to meet deadlines;
- willing to make regular trips abroad.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 1 year with possible extension.

Nijmegen School of Management

The Internationalisation, Communication and External Relations department (ICR) is part of the Nijmegen School of Management. The Faculty comprises the sections Business Administration, Public Administration and Political Science, Economics and Business Economics, and Geography, Planning and Environment. It has some 4000 students. The ICR is one of the Faculty support units and prepares, advises on and implements policy for the Faculty deans and staff. The ICR department has a staff of 12.
