Technological and social developments follow each other at a rapid pace. They have a significant impact on companies and the regions in which these companies are located. The Regional Development Research Group together with businesses, government institutes, organisations and students focuses on:
Research into the critical success factors and characteristics of a region that stimulate, initiate and maintain significant economic activity.
Partnerships are essential. The lecturer develops the research agenda based on the questions from the professional field. This is done in close consultation with the Saxion degree programmes. The research is conducted with support from lecturer/researchers and students where possible. In this way the research group educates the next generation of professionals who will make a contribution to sustainable economic activities.
The lecturer will work together with other lecturers from the different domains within the joint research programme for the economic domain and so formulates their own research agenda and the corporate research agenda of Saxion. This applies in particular to the Business Creation Research Group which was developed in cohesion with the Regional Development Research Group. The research groups in the economic domain are developed, managed and supported by a shared vision of the relationship between the professional field, education and research groups.

Fixed-term contract: 4 years.
A position as Lector 2. The duration of this research group is four years. The duration of the lecturer appointment at this research group is therefore a maximum of four years. This is defined by a one-year contract, which will be extended into a three-year contract depending on performance. Depending on your knowledge and experience, your gross monthly salary will be 6,940.60 maximum (salary scale 15 in the collective labour agreement for the higher education sector [cao-hbo]), based on a full working week. In addition, you will receive a holiday allowance of 8% and an additional month's salary. Saxion aims for diversity amongst its team members. This is a varied position with space for personal input and development. An assessment may be part of the selection procedure.
